Well Done My Good and Faithful Servant

When you go to heaven, do you think that you will have done enough to be able to hear God say, "Well done my good and faithful servant." I want to be able to go to heaven and have a peace about my death because I know I worshipped God until the end. My great grandpa said that he felt bad that he wasn't spending his last days doing more for God even though he was in a nursing home and had done so much for God already. My family later figured out that he had been witnessing to the nurses there. I know that my great grandpa got a well done from God because he wanted to go out with his boots on and never stop living for the Lord. We should be desperate to do more for God and yet we seem to have trouble going to church in the mornings or showing love to the people around us. I was going to do a devotion on forgiveness but I am still working on that myself even though God ,though we turned on him time and time again, still choose to love us and die for us. I want to show that kind of love and forgiveness to everyone I meet. My pastor was talking about how we should determine our journey based on our destination. He said that his destination was when he got to heaven and God said, "Well done my been faithful servant." He said that his journey to get to that destination meant glorifying God in every area of his life no matter what. We can worship God in many ways. Through our prayer, our work, our hobbies, and through loving everyone we meet and sharing that love. I pray that everyone will have done enough to hear God say, "Well done my good and faithful servant."

Side note: Please know that this is to believers and has nothing to do with how to get saved. Being saved is done by believing in Jesus Christ as our one and only savior. This devotion is to those who have believed and already have eternal life in heaven. When you stand before God it has already been determined if you are going to Heaven or not.

Mathew 25:21
His master replied well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your Master's happiness.

1 Corinthians 15:58
Therefore, my beloved Brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable always abounding in the work of the Lord, for as much as you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

Proverbs 3:3-4
Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.

Please listen to these songs and it's lyrics carefully:

Proof of You Love
