Left Behind


Do you sometimes feel like you have been left behind? Forgotten? Overlooked? I do. I feel like my friends move on, or that I am forgotten and left to deal with the trials in my life alone. Sometimes you feel like you have been left in a different place while others move on and you're trying to catch up to where they are. When you feel this way you can feel replaced by friends people may have met while you weren't there or as I said earlier, while you were catching up. Many people say, "Out of sight, out of mind." We often times do this to God. Since we can't see God, we dont think about him being there to help us. The Bible mentions multiple times that God is with us and will not turn away or leave us. It also says that he is looking out for us and sees all. That means we are never out of sight, never out of mind! God is there with us in every situation! I often have prayed for God to give me someone to keep me accountable and give me a friend. When I found a friend and began growing closer to them, I realised I never thought about how God answered my prayer. I just thought yay I have a friend and I kind of thought it was a coincidence. When I thought of how everything I prayed for was in that friend, I realized that God had answered my prayer but I took for granted what He did and diminished His power. I think that so many people think that He wouldn't waste time on that or he only fixes big problems. When a "coincidence" happens that seems to answer your prayer, it is God! He has eternal time and eternal love for all and He knows that even "small" things can mean a lot to an individual. We need to give God His power back and stop diminishing it so that we can realise all of the things He does for us a little bit more. Don't cover up his works of grace and mercy with coincidence. He is always with us and He has the power to help us. God sees all. He knows what is best for us and has perfect timing for when it will help us the most. If the answer to a prayer is no, it's because He knows it's best for you, it isn't to tease or hurt you. Remember this saying, "If it's good with God, it's good with me!"

What is Love?

     The question that we all ask ourselves at some point in our lives is, “what is love?” Is it, doing things for others, is it seeming to enjoy being with someone more than just as friends. Is it a sacrifice? Is it 50-50 I do something for you, you do something for me. Is it blind? There are a lot of views and opinions on what love could be and what it isn’t. I think that it’s an important question to be answered especially if we are called to love others. I figure the best way to find the answer to that is to ask love itself. 1 John 4:8 says that “God is love.” Now we have added to the question of “what is love”, “who is God?” if we learn more about God we learn more about how to love. The Bible says that God is our Father in Heaven, so is a father's love for their child the perfect love? Guide Of Life

Hey everybody! First off  I would like to apologize for the very late post. I have been in the process of moving and to be honest have been trying to figure out things for myself. My depression has escalated in a way that I am still trying to figure out how to handle. Throughout all of it I am trying to find where my personality went after my anxiety stole it. One thing about depression, at least for me, is that everytime I start to understand it, it changes. It's really draining to be hit with the same thing over and over and yet everytime not know how to cope with it. That is why I haven't posted. I am trying to learn to cope with the depression that is all rooted within my own mind. I get confused on why I cant seem to catch a break in this and so I didnt know how to write about what I learned when I dont even know what to learn yet.
