3 Minutes of Faith

Do you sometimes feel like you have been left behind? Forgotten? Overlooked? I do. I feel like my friends move on, or that I am forgotten and left to deal with the trials in my life alone. Sometimes you feel like you have been left in a different place while others move on and you're trying to catch up to where they are. When you feel this way you can feel replaced by friends people may have met while you weren't there or as I said earlier, while you were catching up. Many people say, "Out of sight, out of mind." We often times do this to God. Since we can't see God, we dont think about him being there to help us. The Bible mentions multiple times that God is with us and will not turn away or leave us. It also says that he is looking out for us and sees all. That means we are never out of sight, never out of mind! God is there with us in every situation! Sometimes we want to rebel. We often get faught against in our faith and we think well why can't I just be rude or yell to get my point across? God calls us to love but that can be hard. While we try to fight against the devil we still have to be Christ like. This weekend I was at Dare to Share Live. They focus on reaching out to teenagers and teaching them to share. As they focused on making a difference they mentioned how we can be in a righteous rebellion. We can change the way people look at us because no one does it this way. We can pray together. Go to schools and have devotions. God was not liked by a lot of the religious pharisees because he was changing things in a manner that changed hearts and brought love. It is rebellious to be Christ like because sinning is no longer rebellious because everyone is doing it. People will remember your love shown and Christ like character more than the normal sinful character that is easily angered. Imagine if someone came and you wer...

If God really loved me then he would get me out of this situation and storm. We all think things like this at times. Things like, if God cared He would come down and give me a sign. We all want a close relationship with Him but push Him away and get mad for things that are usually our fault. I want you to think of your parents or guardian. Did they let you run into the road? Did they let you touch the hot burner? No, because they loved you and didnt want you to get hurt. They knew information before hand that at the time you didn't, like cars hurt or burns sting. Have you ever heard the saying, "You learn from your mistakes"? Well, God gives us choices to make on if we choose to be tempted or choose to sin so that we can learn from our mistakes and depend more on our mighty Father. For this devotion I am going to play off of For King & country's devotion on how you are priceless. In today's culture it seems like if you stand up for your faith, you won't be popular. This goes for girls and guys. It seems like if you don't match what everyone else is doing, then you aren't special but, the truth is, if you stand up for your faith and for who you truly are, you'll stand out the most because no one is doing that anymore. I know that everyone says it only matters what's on the inside and we can sometimes find lies to disprove that, but the fact is, it's true. In the long run, we grow old and our youthful beauty  fades but when we have a good personality and a strong faith, those things can only grow.
